Episode 1 introduces you to many of the participants. It explores their backgrounds in dance, fitness, music, and wellness, as well as their main reasons for coming to the class. Their stories and their motivations are so diverse, showing us that this class really is for everybody! The one thing that they do all have in common is that they recognize the importance of MOVEMENT.

Episode 2 is all about the seven different elements that we cover in class: Cardio, Toning, Flexibility, Coordination, Balance, Agility, and Memory . I asked the participants how they have experienced some of these in class. Watch to see what they have to say!

What They're Saying

In the Spring of 2024, I was given the opportunity to interview those who know the class best—the participants! From 2 different CCRCs in Durham, NC, these residents range in age from 72-95 and participate in the Standing and/or Seated classes. Some have taken the classes for years, others shared their thoughts after only a few classes.

The interviews will be shared across 4 episodes.
